Transmark Subsea at Ocean Business 21

Our Norwegian partner and European reseller Transmark Subsea will participate in the ocean technology exhibition, Ocean Business, in Southampton, UK, from 12-14 October 2021. They will be presenting the ARV-i, a fully-autonomous resident observation ROV developed in a joint venture with Boxfish Research. 

About the ARV-i

This innovative resident observation system combines Boxfish Research’s industry-leading underwater vehicle, photography and robotics technology with Transmark Subsea’s underwater power and communications solutions. ARV-i will spend its time entirely underwater for up to 12 months per deployment as a resident vehicle. It has extensive applications for offshore industries that require underwater observation and inspection, such as energy, oil and gas, wind farms and aquaculture. 

The ARV-i also provides customers with a range of operational configurations tailored to business requirements. It may operate autonomously using self-piloting systems or be manually piloted using live video or via a digital twin of the environment. The optional addition of a tethered connection to the surface enables 4K video streaming and high-speed data transmission if a customer requires superior video quality.

Visitors to Transmark Subsea’s exhibition stand will have the opportunity to meet creators of the ARV-i and find out more about this ground-breaking ocean technology. Company representatives will also be available to discuss our standard tethered ROV solutions and the Boxfish 360 camera.
